Ronaldo Score Twice To Keep Madrid Hope Alive


Cristiano Ronaldo was up and doing for Real Madrid as they beat Athletic club 4-2 in Santiago Bernebeau. The win takes Madrid to second position on the table with 53 points after 24 matches in the league, while they hope that Athletico Madrid will either draw or lose in her next match.

Madrid opened scoring in the first three minutes through a goal scored by Ronaldo and assisted by Karim Benzema, before Eraso leveled up for Athletic Club.

Before half time Zidane's men extended the lead with goals coming from James Rodriguez and Tony Kroos in the 37 and 45 minutes respectively, leaving the score line at 3-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo widened the gap in the 87 minutes when he scored the fourth goal for his side, before Elustondo scored the second goal for Athletic Club, making the scoreline 4-2 by end of time.
