How Far Will Nations Go In Extending Their UEFA Champions League Win?

ITALY
Hmm... the Italians have a slim chance of extending their win after Roma was sent out by Madrid. Juventus is currently carrying the burden of the nation, but a second leg match against Bayern in Germany makes Italy's move to the next stage doubtful. However, they have 45% chance of going further.

ENGLAND

Chelsea Second Hope Of Qualifying For Next Champions League End At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea's second hope of qualifying for next edition of the UEFA Champions League was killed yesterday, when Paris Saint-German defeated them by 1-2 at Stamford Bridge.

It will be recalled that Chelsea qualified for the Champions League after winning it for the first time in 2012 while their performance was poor in the domestic league, hence, fans had likened the previous situation as what could likely happen now.

Unfortunately, Chelsea who are currently seated on tenth position in the premier league with nine matches to go will be faced with a difficult situation of qualifying for next Champions League.

Leicester City, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City are currently on top of the premier league, and are not willing to let go with nine matches left to end of season.

Chelsea may not be in the UEFA Champions League next season.

PSG Send Chelsea Out Of Champions League At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are out of the UEFA Champions League after they suffered a second leg defeat at Stamford Bridge from PSG.

First half goal from Adrien Rabiot in the 16th minutes and Zlatan Ibrahimovic second half goal in the 67' minutes ensured the team's 1-2 defeat of the blues in the match. Diego Costa's 27th minutes goal in the first half was not enough to do the magic for Chelsea.

PSG qualify on 2-4 aggregate after beating Chelsea at Stamford bridge by 1-2.

This is the second time PSG will be sending Chelsea out of the Champions League after knocking them out last season while Jose Mourinho was in charge of Chelsea.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo Finish His Football Career In Madrid?

Over time, there has been rumours over Ronaldo going to leave Madrid, while Ronaldo's manager has once insisted that Ronaldo will finish his career in Real Madrid.

Interestingly, the recent comment made by Madrid President Florentino Perez suggests that the three-time ballon d'or winner may not finish his career in Madrid.

Atletico Madrid defeated Madrid in derby and club president was not happy with Ronaldo's performance. He was quoted to have said "I don't want to see Ronaldo in Madrid Squad anymore", a comment which suggests that Madrid may sell him.

Madrid were disqualified from Copa Del Rey for fielding ineligible player, leaving them with the Spanish League and Champions League to contend with and are currently seated at the third position on the league table.

The loss to Atletico also reduces their chances of playing in the Spanish Super cup, which may end up being between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona if the current trend continues till end of season.

Club president had earlier handed over all transfer issues to head coach Zinedine Zidane who is to look into such matters and take decisions were necessary.

Leicester Only Need To Be Focused To Win Their First Premier League Title

Leicester City are only nine matches away from winning their first ever premier League title, and only Leicester can give away the title.

Claudio Ranieri called for team being focused, and with their weekend 1-0 away win against Watford, there seems to be hope for the team.

Leicester are currently on top with 60 points and trailed by Tottenham with five points. They just need to continue winning to ensure that the trophy come to King Power Stadium at end of season.

No doubt, their current performance under Ranieri is their best so far since gaining promotion to the Premier League side in 2004, and it will be good if the team remain focused and win the title.

Ranieri who was signed on a three year contract in 2015 will also be a happy man if Leicester City wins title in first season of his having a stint with the club.
