Costa Grabs Late Minute Goal To Earn Chelsea One Point At Stamford Bridge

c

Diego Costa was on point for Chelsea when he took advantage of the weak defense of Manchester United and grabbed a point for Chelsea in an entertaining 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

After 90 minutes between these two teams at Old Trafford earlier in the season, both sides looked far keener to impress and enjoyed prolonged spells on top in the first half.

Chelsea went the closer to breaking the deadlock, with Willian as influential as ever, and John Terry saw a strong claim for a penalty waved away in the last action of the opening 45 minutes.

United eventually went ahead, minutes after Kurt Zouma was stretchered from the field, as Jesse Lingard turned smartly inside the penalty area and hit a low shot past Thibaut Courtois on the hour mark.

With the game entering the first of six minutes of added time, hesitance in the United defence allowed Costa to round David De Gea and slot home an equaliser to earn a deserved point for Chelsea.
