Kudos To Kanu Nwankwo, Worthy World Football Legend

Kanu Nwankwo has been named among 48 world football legends, according to the International Federation of Football History (IFFHS).

The former Ajax player who is also seen as one of Africa's most celebrated footballers had a stint with Arsenal, Inter Milan, West Brom. He won the UEFA Champions League, FA Cups, Olympic Gold.

The two time African footballer of the year winner touched lives in Nigeria and beyond when he started the Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF). An NGO which aimed at providing medical attention for those who had heart related disease issues.

KHS was established after Kanu's football career was threatened by heart deficiency, and this really brought him closer to God. He underwent surgery, survived and felt there was need to save others who could not afford the bill.

Although, Kanu did not win the AFCON title, when he was asked about that, he simply said "If I saved the lives of all the children suffering from heart related disease, then I have won everything in life including the AFCON title".

Kanu Nwankwo is indeed a Legend, and worthy one.
