Mourinho May Take Charge of Manchester United Soon

Jose Mourinho is heavily rumoured to take over from Van Gaal at Old Trafford following the poor performances of United under the Deutsch Manager.

Management are looking into this as Van Gaal has gotten only 41 points from 26 matches with the loss to Sunderland being a heavy blow on the club.

Worse still, Manchester United hope in Europe got worse when a less fancied Midtylland defeated Van Gaal's men 2-1 in the first-leg of Europa league, questioning the competence of Louis Van Gaal in taking the club to the promised land.

Inter Milan Prays For Roma To Lose In Next League Match As They Trash Sampdoria 3-1 At San Siro

Sampdoria's only and consolation goal came in the injury time of the second half from Quagliarella and not long after then the final whistle came.

Inter Milan will hope that Roma who are currently on fifth position lose their next match, other wise they will come back to the fourth position, putting Inter behind them again.

Roma are currently fifth on the table with 47 points and a win for them will surely take them to fourth position while a draw will tie tie them on point with Inter but goal difference will give them an edge.

Bayern Munich Home Win Is A Boost Ahead of Champions League Clash

Bayern Munich beat Darmstadt 3-1 to maintain top position at the Bundesliga with 59 points giving them comfortable lead in the league.

It was the visitors who first scored in the first 26 minutes of player, holding that defeat until half time.

The second half saw aggressive Bayern come out with force and it yielded result with Muller scoring Bayern's first and second goals in the 49 and 71 minutes respectively before Lewandowski scored Bayern's third and final goal in the 84 minutes.

Bayern win is a boost for Guardiola's men who will be travelling to Italy during the week to face Italian Giants Juventus in the first leg of the knock-out stage of the UEFA Champions League match.

It will be recalled that Guardiola is expected to do well in the UEFA Champions League with Bayern Munich or face a risk of being sacked.

Two Brothers Go To War In The FA Cup As Iheanacho Prepares To Challenge Mikel

Super Eagles players Mikel Obi of Chelsea and Kelechi Iheanacho will tomorrow face each other in the Round 5 of the FA Cup with Chelsea hosting at Stamford bridge.

The duo have currently won the hearts of their managers, and are likely going to be given starting shirt in the match which means so much to both teams.

Chelsea who are at home need to win the match as a means of guaranteeing their chances for silverware, as this is the only title they are currently sure of. They are in the thirteenth position in the premier league, have lost an away match in the UEFA Champions League, but are yet to face the challenge of the FA Cup.

On the other hand, Manchester City are yet to play in their Champions League, and are fourth in the Premier League, but will need to also win tomorrow's clash to increase their chances of winning silverware this season.

Mike and Iheanaco have both scored recent significant goals for their clubs and will be willing to do more when both sides meet tomorrow in the clash.

Guardiola Face A Risk Of Being Sacked At Bayern Munich

Pep Guardiola is at the verge of being sacked by Bayern Munich after management of the club observed that he is no longer interested in the current success of the club.

Manchester City earlier announced that Guardiola would take charge of City at summer, and this seem to be affecting the work disposition of the Spaniard with his current employers in Germany as he no longer concentrate with job but looks ahead of his stint with City.

The management of Bayern Munich feels he need to concentrate and be successful with Bayern at the Champions League, rather than losing concentration and looking up to his new appointment.

Bayern Munich will travel to Italy to face the Italian giant Juventus, in the first-leg of the Champions League and its a crucial match.

You Cannot Follow Me To Manchester City Guardiola Tells Alaba

Bayern Munich Manager Pep Guardiola has told Bayern's left-back Alaba that he will be a great player in the history of Bayern Munich.

There has been speculations that the Spaniard would sign Alaba over to Manchester City when he takes charge of the club in July, but Pep believes that  Alaba would be a great player in Bayern.

"He can play everywhere, and he is so passionate," Guardiola told news men. "He will be one of the best players in Bayern's history."

The Austrian has been a first-team regular for Bayern Munich since the age of 19 and, now 23, has played in over 100 Bundesliga games and earned 42 caps for Austria.

Jose Mourinho May Head To Inter Milan

The former Chelsea boss has been heavily linked to join Italian side at San Siro, where he once had a stint with the club.

Mourinho is currently out of job after he was sacked at Chelsea, but Mourinho still remains the most wanted coach in Europe.

Although Mourinho has denied the possibility of return to the Nerazzurri, but his visit there could also give room for discussions that could lead to a possible return.
It would be recalled that while Mourinho was in Madrid, he had made his move a secret until the end of season before he left. He is out of job now and needs a job so courtesy visits may be an avenue to negotiate such moves.

Mourinho was in Inter Milan in 2010 and Inter won the treble of Copa Italia, Serie A and the UEFA Champions League. Breaking a 22-year old UEFA Champions league drought at Inter could give room for a possible consideration.

Inter Milan are currently on the fifth position in the Serie A trailing Roma with 45 points and are working hard to ensure a possible return to top four in the Serie A.

Wasteful Manchester United Bow Down To A Less Fancied Midtjylland

Manchester United continue in their loss galore as they bowed to a less fancied Midtjylland in the knockout stage of the Europa cup.

The Danes showed character in their play and this made them cancel the first goal scored by Depay in the 37 minutes exactly seven minutes after United took the lead, making the first half of the match end in a draw..

United created scoring chances but were unable to convert them to goals, questioning the credibility of the players in forward line, while Rooney's absence was felt. Rooney is said to be away for a period of six weeks.

The second half gave hope to the Danish side as Onuachu scored the second and final goal of the match at the 77 minutes making the situation of United worse.

Prior to the match, bookmakers had written Midtjylland off but the win at home is a boost for the Danish side as they prepare to travel to England for the second leg.

WILL AFRICA EVER HOST THE OLYMPIC GAMES?

FNB STADIUM IN SOUTH AFRICA. CAPACITY:94,736
Since the Ancient Olympic Games was modernized and became open to all, Africa is yet to get an opportunity to host one of the most watched Sporting events in the world.

The issue of bidding to host the Olympic games became so political and corrupt such that Africa will need to put extraordinary effort to host the Olympic Games. In August 2004, the BBC aired a documentary entitled Panorama: Buying the Games, which investigated the taking of bribes in the bidding process for the London 2012 Summer Olympics. The documentary claimed it was possible to bribe IOC members to vote for a particular city.

Although critics feel Africa does not have the type of stadium that is capable of containing the targeted capacity. But capacity of stadium may not just be the reason why Africa has not been able to

host the Olympic Games.
The Beijing 2008 Olympics was hosted at the Beijing National Stadium which has a capacity of 91,000. The London 2012 Olympic Games was hosted at the Wembley stadium with capacity of 90,000, while the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games will be hosted at the Maracana stadium which has a capacity of 78,838.

Interestingly, the FNB or the Soccer City stadium located in Johannesburg in South Africa which was upgraded before the 2010 FIFA World Cup, has a capacity of 94,736. Making it bigger than the last two stadiums and the Maracana stadium which is expected to host the Rio 2016 Olympics.

These findings clearly show that the issue of Africa not being able to host the Olympic Games is far beyond the availability of stadiums that is capable of containing the
Maracana Stadium, venue for the 2016 Olympics. Capacity 78,838
large crowd coming from various parts of the world to cheer her athletes to victory during the event.

Another school of thought could argue that insecurity could also be another reason, but the world trouped to Africa for the FIFA 2010 World Cup and there was no reported cases of insecurity of lives during the event, so how do we reconcile this.

Africa is a patient continent, hoping that someday she will be given the opportunity to host the Olympic Games, just as an opportunity was given to her by the World governing football body to host the World Cup.

Barcelona Trash Sporting Gijon To Move On

Barcelona defeated Sporting Gijon 1-3 to go six points ahead of  Atletico Madrid who trail the Catalans.

Goals coming from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez gave Enrique's men the win. Messi scored his 300th La Liga  goal with the first, his second goal gave him the 301st La Liga goal.

Suarez missed a penalty but that did not stop him from hitting his 40th La Liga goal for Barcelona.

Luis Enrique's men are in very top form and are capable of repeating a treble this season. They seem unstoppable as the presence of Xavi which was felt at the begin of the season has been adjusted with the introduction of Arda Turan.
