Manchester City player Kelechi Iheanacho 19, has finally gotten an opportunity to prove himself in the senior national team the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Iheanacho was shortlisted amongst the 18 foreign based players invited by Coach Sunday Oliseh for the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against Swaziland. The two-legged clashes are expected to hold on Friday 13 and Tuesday 17 November 2015, in Swaziland and Nigeria respectively.

Iheanacho had proved himself at the U17 level, where he won the MVP award in 2013, but did not win favour in the eyes of the former Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi.

His debut in the World Cup qualifiers clash against Swaziland, will give him an opportunity to make a footprint in the lives of Nigeria fans, who had called for his inclusion.

Iheanacho has proven himself already, in that, the English Premiership is one of the toughest league in the world, and playing in such and also in a star studded club like Man. City who currently sit atop the table, the 2013 under 17 mvp will find it no problem proving his worth and inclusion in the 18man squad shortlisted by Coach Sunday Oliseh to face Swaziland on the road to qualify for Russia 2018 world cup. Iheanacho has an eye for goal, that which the current under 17 striker Osimhen has. Iheanacho is composed in front of goal, that is the hallmark of a prolific striker.

Oliseh has said before he can play Iheanacho against Swaziland, Iheanacho must prove during training that he is better than others

Oliseh is not only a coach of football but also a coach of moral, he must create a room for players like Iheanacho to perform. Other big players who are already tenants in the squad should also be accommodating, if not it may Psychologically dampen the spirit of the new invitees. So of the old players are intimidating. You know what I mean. Nevertheless, Iheanacho will prove himself.
