Messi's Second Half Strike Sees Barca Through Against Stubborn Malaga




Lionel Messi second half strike was the decisive factor in Barcelona match against Malaga, giving Barcelona a top spot hope.

Barcelona took the lead in the first half through Munir in the first two minutes, but Malaga got an equaliser in the the 37 minutes, ending the first half with a draw.

However, Enrique's men returned in the second half with determination but stubborn Malaga kept them under check, before Messi came out with the magical goal.

The five times Ballon D'or award winner has  ensured that Barcelona's hope of remaining on top in the league is kept alive.

President Buhari Splashes Millions On China 1985 U17 Team, Amuneke's Chile 2015 U17 Team Gets Her Share Of Millions



                


President Muhammadu Buhari kept to his words, as he fulfilled the promise he made with the China 1985 U17 team that won the maiden edition of the tournament by giving each of the Sports Men the sum of Two million Naira each.

The event took place at the Aso Rock, where the President announced the reward for the team who did the nation proud during their hey days but did not get the opportunity to get financial reward as a result of the premature end of his twenty months administration.

Also, the Chile 2015 U17 Team guided by Emmanuel Amuneke who won the tournament for the fifth time and set a record of being the first team to win the tournament outside Asia were also rewarded with a sum of 1.2 Million Naira, while Head Coach Emmanuel Amuneke got N900,000, his assistants N600,000. N300,000 went to the Secretary and Medical Doctor, while other backroom staff got N200,000 each.

Players and handler of the 2015 CAF U23 Championship got N500,000 each while N300,000 went to the assistant coaches and other officials.

It is worthy of mention that President Buhari is the only leader in the World to have received the FIFA U17 tournament on two different regimes, the first as a Military Head of State in 1985 and the second as a Civilian President in 2015.

President Buhari Calls For Medals At The Rio De Janeiro 2016 Olympics







President Muhamadu Buhari has charged the Sports ministry to do Nigeria proud in the forthcoming Rio De Janeiro 2016 Olympics.

He said this while honouring all Sports Men and women who did the nation proud during his twenty months old administration in 1985, as well as Athletes who did the nation proud in Chile 2015.

Buhari decried the poor performance of Team Nigeria at the London 2012 Olympics, and charged athletes who will be going for the Rio 2016 Olympics to rise to the occasion and do Nigeria proud.

in his words, "I urge the managers of this sector [Sports] to keep up with the momentum. I wish to assure all that the federal government will not relent in its efforts to ensure our sports men and women continue to excel in international Sports competitions.

"I'm particularly concerned about our participation at the Rio De Janeiro 2016 Olympics. Our bitter experience at the London 2012 Olympics Where Nigerian athletes failed to make it to the podium.
"This administration wants a change in the way we do things. We must strive to the in the way we manage our time, financial and physical resources to ensure we success in the next Olympics. We must aim for optimal performance in all international competitions.

Neymar Will Finish His Career In Barcelona - Father



The father of Barcelona forward Neymar Da Silva spoke up and cleared issues arising from speculations that Neymar held talks with Real Madrid concerning his coming to Bernebeau.

Neymar Snr debunked all rumours and publications, insisting that they (Him, Neymar and Agent) did not hold talks with Madrid officials at the Ballon D'or ceremony which took place at Zurich, concerning Neymar's movement to Madrid.

We were all together in in the same hotel at Zurich, both Barcelona and Real Madrid officials, but we did not talk about Neymar moving to Madrid, its a false information cooked up by some individuals, its not true he insisted.

Messi And Neymar Are Owing Me! - Ronaldo

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up that Messi and Neymar are yet to pay him for the services he rendered during the 2015  Ballon D'or and gala night held in Zurich, Switzerland.

Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo were all nominated for the award and the trio were called up to the stage.

Neymar and Messi do not understand or speak English, hence, Ronaldo was the one interpreting  for them and he (Ronaldo)told Press Men at Bernebeau that the duo are yet to pay him for the services he rendered as translator during the Ballon D'or, he laughed.

Ronaldo also informed that his relationship with Messi has become closer after the Ballon D'or.
