Jose Mourrinho declared that Chelsea is a candidate for the 2016 UEFA Champions League title, after his side defeated Porto by 2-0 to make it to the round of 16.
People can argue that Chelsea is not doing fine at our home league because we are 14 on the table and things don't seem to be going on fine with our play in the premiership. But then, its a different thing entirely in the Champions league he told goal.com
When we won it with Porto in 2000, no one gave us a chance to win it but twe won it, proving bookmakers wrong. In Inter in 2010 when we won, it was same thing, no one tipped us to win but we shocked Europe and won the title. Right now no one believes in the team because of our performance in the league, but that will only propel us to win at Europe.
