Super Eagles Climbed Up In FIFA Ranking Despite CHAN Fallout
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up in the current FIFA ranking to 63rd position, despite the ouster of the CHAN Eagles at the African Nations Championship.
CHAN Eagles finished third in her group with four point, winning one match drawing one and losing one to Guinea.
Nigeria were initially at 66th position but moved three steps forward in the world and 12th position in Africa behind Cote d'Ivoire, Cape Verde, Algeria, Ghana, Senegal, Tunisia, Congo, Egypt, DR Congo, Guinea and Cameroon.
In the world ranking, Belgium still remain on top, with Argentina in the second position while former world champions Spain, are in third position and Germany dropping to fourth position. Host for the Euro 2016 tournament France have moved to the 24th position.
