Why Chelsea May Not Get Pep Guardiola.

The search for a long-term replacement of José Mourinho continues while Guus Hiddinks standing in as interim manager of the club.

Pep Guardiola has been linked to Chelsea, but with the situation of things on ground and going by the antecedent of both parties, it may be difficult to have the Spanish at Stamford Bridge.

Since 2003 till date, Chelsea have fired ten managers with Mourinho getting a bitter share of the Sack on two occasions. This pedigree is naturally enough for any big coach to feel sceptical about coming to Stamford Bridge.

Pep, who is also being considered has had seven years of coaching experience in Spain and Bayern of which he made a choice to leave in all situations. In Barcelona for example he had one year contract which was renewed at the end of each season, while in Bayern he signed two years renewed it for one year and made a decision to leave next summer.

Pep's style of play, may not fit into Chelsea traditional style of play, as he plays the 4-3-3 and 3-4-3 style of play, which allows more of players who can hold on to the ball. Pep once said that Chelsea need ten more players for the team to be stable, and this alone suggests otherwise.

Pep is more likely to settle for Manchester City if given the opportunity, as this is a club that he may quickly adopt to, considering the quality of players that are available there.
