Chelsea Slaughter Manchester City At Stamford Bridge

It was humilation at Stamford bridge yesterday when the blues picked up their guest in the second half and burst their balloon of hope in the FA Cup.

Chelsea beat Manchester City yesterday 5-1 at  Stamford Bridge to book a place in the quarter final of the FA Cup., in what earlier started as a struggle but later ended up being one sided.

Diego Costa opened scoring in 35 minutes of play before his goal was cancelled by David Faupala, one of the debutants in Manchester City's line-up. The first half apparently ended in a draw.

Willian scored Chelsea's second goal in the second half at 48 minutes, while Cahill scored the third goal in the 53rd minutes.

Hazrad's free kick was a beautiful one and it earned the blues their fourth goal, while a penalty was awarded to Chelsea, Oscar took the penalty but lost it, denying Chelsea of a fifth goal through the kick. However,  Traore put himself on the score sheet in the 89' minutes scoring the fifth and final goal of the match.

Pellegrini paid dearly for featuring five debutants in a crucial match as this, as Chelsea had a smooth ride to the quarter final of the tournament.
