Newcastle Makes Situation More Difficult For Van Gaal
Newcastle United forced Manchester United to a 3-3 draw yesterday, denying Van Gaal's men the maximum three points needed to keep the top four hope alive.
Van Gaal's men took the lead by 0-2 in the first half, with goals coming from Rooney through penalty in the 9th minute and Lingard in the 38 minutes before New Castle scored a goal in the 42nd minute through Wijnaldum.
In the 67th minutes, Newcastle's Mitrovic levelled up the score line through a penalty, before Rooney scored another in the 79th minute to put United on the lead.
However, a 90th minute goal from Newcastle's Dummett ended United's hope of getting maximum three points, leaving Manchester United sixth position on the league table.
