The Seven Sins Jose Mourinho Commited That Lubricated His Sack

Following the sack of Jose Mourinho as the coach of Chelsea by Abramovic, Sports Intelligence X-Rays the seven reasons or mistakes which could have turned the position of "The Special One" to "The Sacked One".

(1) DISRESPECT FOR A SENIOR COLLEAGUE:
Mourinho's lack of respect for other coaches could have just been one of the mistakes, particularly     Arsene Wenger. He once described Wenger as a "Specialist In Failure" and this comment was not       necessary. He further assaulted him during their league match in what showed lack of respect for a     senior colleague. Wenger may just be one of the happiest coaches in England today upon his sack.

(2) BUILDING HIS ATTACK AROUND PLAYERS THAT WERE MORE OF RETIREE
Mourinho's first season saw the coming of Samuel Eto'o, who was arguably near retirement and         had won every title available in club football. Eto'o had nothing to win again but Mourinho                 brought him in. The second season saw the return of Drogba who retired from Chelsea                         and had nothing to win again with the club. Interestingly, Chelsea won the league title. Winning         the domestic league with Drogba probably propelled him to go and get two players(Falcao and           Pedro) that were near retirement and had lost favour in their former clubs. Pedro had won every           title available in club football and was no longer getting first team shirt in Barca, while Falcao             was practically offloaded by Van Gaal when he saw that the player was injury prone and had               little or nothing to give to football again.

(3) CONTROVERSY WITH TEAM DOCTOR
Jose Mourinho had controversy with former Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro. The lady seeing         that Mourinho  was becoming too bossy parked her belongings and left Chelsea an act which               caused furor among fans.Although, it was rumoured then that Eva was having an affair with               Hazard and Mourinho was not just comfortable with that.

(4) EXTENSION OF CONTRACT:
This was one fundamental mistake Jose Mourinho made, that aimed at protecting him financially       rather than giving him an escape route in times of trouble. Mourinho signed a new contract that           will keep him at Chelsea till 2019. Anyone who had studied Mourinho's antecedent will agree             with me that Mourinho is an "achieve and depart coach", who barely spends up to four years in           any league and depart. He did it with Porto,Chelsea, Intermilan and Real Madrid. Trying to stay         in England in seven consecutive years was against the standard he started with from inception.

(5) PLEADING WITH MANAGEMENT AFTER POOR PERFORMANCE
Mourinho suddenly found himself in a position where he had to meet with club owner to plead to       stay, particularly after the ninth loss in the league match against Leicester. Unfortunately, his               knowledge of his financial benefit if sacked made him set aside his principle. Club owner seeing         the direction preferred sacking and paying him off, than keeping him at Stamford Bridge.

(6) DRAGGING CHELSEA TO 16TH POSITION
This was in fact, one of the dirtiest record Jose Mourinho had set for himself and the club, after          playing sixteen matches and dragging Chelsea to the sixteenth position, with one point off the              relegation zone. Even though he had said the club will not be relegated, but the fact is the board          was also afraid of seeing Chelsea at the twentieth position after twenty matches hence, they had to      to do the needful.

(7) CONFLICT BETWEEN MOURINHO AND PLAYERS
There was conflict between Mourinho and the players, and this to a very large extent affected the       performance of the players as they were no longer putting in their best. This is the main reason           management of Chelsea gave, as conveyed by the Technical Director Mike Emenalo, who said         "Palpable discord between manager and players was affecting the club, and we can feel it as well.       This was the same set of players who won the league last season and they did it by showing some       commitment and this is lacking now. Hence, Mourinho had to go.
