Brazil and Argentina are set to go into World Cup qualifier clash in the early hours of Friday November 13, with Argentina playing host to the Samba boys.

Argentina will play without her talismanic and injured Lionel Messi, who has so far scored a total of 49 goals in 105 appearances for country, surpassing Maradona's all-time 34 goals for national side, while Gabriel Batistuta tops all-time Argentine record with 56 goals in 78 appearances.

Interestingly, Brazil will be playing with in-form Neymar, who has proved to critics that he is capable of stepping into the big shoes worn by Lionel Messi in Barcelona. Neymar has scored 46 goals in 67 appearances for Brazil, leaving him with an average score of 1.5 goals per match, and would want to increase his goal records in the clash.

Argentina and Brazil first met on September 20, 1914 in an international friendly with Brazil winning 3-0. Both teams have so far met 105 all-time record with Brazil recording 43 wins, Argentina 38 wins and both teams settling for 24 draws.
