Manchester City have kept the hope of England alive in the first leg of the round of 16 Champions League tournament after they defeated Dynamo Kiev at NSC Olimpiyskiy, Kiev Stadium.
Kun Aguero, David Silva and Yaya Toure all scored in City's defeat of Kiev 1-3 giving hope to England and restoring confidence to fans and management.Their goals came in the 15',40' and 90' respectively.
The win also puts Dynamo Kiev under serious pressure, compelling them to go to England and defeat City with at least 2-0 if anything meaningful must come out of the next leg in their favour.
It will be recalled that before now England's other two representatives Chelsea and Arsenal lost their first leg matches against PSG and Barcelona respectively, putting the pressure of winning on Manchester City which they have been able to achieve.
