Juventus Compell A Determined Bayern To A 2-2 Draw At Juventus Stadium

Bayern Munich were yesterday forced to a 2-2 draw after taking the lead at Juventus stadium in the first leg of the round of 16 clash.

Bayern took the lead in the first half after Muller slot in the ball in 43 minutes of play while in the 18-yard box giving the German side a lead before the second half. That was Muller's sixth Champions League goal of the season.

Play resumed in the second half with Bayern desiring to score more and their quest yielded result in the 55' minutes of play when Robben shoots past Bazargli to score Bayern's second goal and giving the visitors the confidence that they had won the match.

Juve's hope of not accepting defeat without scoring a goal at home materialized through Dybala in the 63' minutes, when he scored Juventus first goal, giving hope to the Italian side and mounting more pressure on Guardiola's men.

The stadium was filled with gleams of hope for the Italian side, who had maintained an unbeaten record at their stadium since 2013 after Bayern defeated them in the quarterfinal stage of the Champions League that same year.

Interestingly, Khedira was substituted in the 68 minutes for Sturaro, who came in and gave Juventus hope in the 76 minutes, lightening up the stadium with life when he scored Juventus' second goal. It was indeed unbelievable that the substitute could do the damage to Bayern.

The draw for Juventus looked like a win while for Bayern was like a loss. The draw keeps Juventus unbeaten home record since 2013 by any foreign club while they hope to do great magic when they get to Germany.

Bayern who now have away-two-goals will need to strive and win at Germany or if possible get a goalless or 1-1 draw to enable them progress to the next stage of the tournament.
