Manchester City remains the only hope of England for the the time being, as they take on Dynamo Kiev in the first leg of the round of 16 Champions League at Ukraine.
Three English teams qualified to the round of 16, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Chelsea have lost their first leg match to PSG in France by 2-1, reducing their chances of qualification. Arsenal were beaten at Emirate 0-2 by defending Champions Barcelona, making it practically impossible for them to qualify while City is yet to play Kiev in Ukraine tonight.
Pellegrini men will be expected to turn things around for England in Europe and give England hope in the tournament, but City have not really been in good form recently.
Manchester City played Dynamo Kiev in the Europa and failed to progress after they lost in Ukraine by 2-0. Although they won at home by 1-0, but it was not enough to see them through.
Tonight they will need to step up their game and get an away win to give England hope of progressing.
