Villareal Beat Leverkusen To Get Advantage Ahead of Second Leg

Villareal beat 10-man Leverkusen 2-0 to get two goals advantage ahead of the second leg which comes up in Germany.

Bakambu was the star for the night as his brace which came in the 4th and 56th minutes gave Villareal the win in the match.

Bakambu's goals ended his 11 matches run without a goal and put them ahead of their visitors. Villareal by this win have won all five of their European home games this season without conceding a goal.

However, the match which was also Leverkusen's 200th fixture in UEFA club competition produced a 67th loss for them.

The second leg of the match will take place next Saturday with the quarter-final draw taking place the next day.
